Job Description
You will support the catering service for the hospice, including cooking for patients on our in-patient unit and those close to them, our Living Well Centre attendees, staff meals as well as internal events and fundraising functions. You will assist the Lead Cook in providing high quality, nutritious and delicious fresh food to our patients, visitors, volunteers and staff.
As a key member of the extended team looking after our patients’ needs, you will need to have excellent communications skills, a cheerful disposition, and the ability to engage positively with all service users. A ‘go the extra mile’ mindset and the flexibility to adapt to individual patient needs at short notice are essential components of success in this role.

Our ideal candidate will be an innovative, creative and progressive professional with relevant experience in either Healthcare, Nursing or Hospice/Charity environments. Having food hygiene certification would be advantageous, but training can be provided for this if required. The ideal person will possess excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to live our values.
