Job Description

Our Distribution centre serves a multitude of stores across East and West Sussex and our retail operation is growing rapidly to support the Trust’s vision to provide the best possible care to those living with life limiting illnesses within our community.

Stock availability is essential to our retail operations, with a core service being moving stock donations and new goods to store seamlessly to enable customers to access the wide variety of options available to them, together with making stock available to the Online Team for online sales.

In this role you will:

- Manage the timely replenishment of stock throughout the Retail stores.
- Processing stock and deliveries to the Distribution Centre and preparing them for collection or online selling.
- Identifying items for recycling minimising landfill waste.
- Completing an inventory daily and maintaining stock files accurately.
- Ensuring Distribution Centre standards and cleanliness are maintained to support replenishment and limit stock damage.

Who are we looking for?

Working as part of a busy team of both staff and volunteers we are seeking a Stock Controller who has exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and a positive can do attitude, to help support our operations.

Ideally, you’ll have some previous experience of working in a retail environment or stockroom but this is not essential.

Working in a busy distribution centre the successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic, good with customers and donors and flexible in the work they are asked to undertake.

Health and safety is of paramount importance in this role and you will need the ability to follow instructions and be motivated to work on your own initiative.

Would consider a job share working 1 x Part Time 3 full days + 1 x Part Time 2 full Days
