Retail Stock Supervisor

Job Description
Our Distribution centre serves a multitude of stores across East and West Sussex and our retail operation is growing rapidly to support the Trust’s vision to provide the best possible care to those living with life limiting illnesses within our community.
Stock availability and quality are essential to our retail operations, with a core service being moving stock donations and new goods to stores seamlessly to enable customers to access the wide variety of options available to them, together with making stock available to the Online Team for online sales.
In this role you will:
– Manage the timely replenishment of stock throughout our Retail stores.
– Process donated good deliveries to the Distribution Centre and prepare them for collection or online selling.
– Identify items for recycling to minimise landfill waste.
– Ensure Health & Safety standards are met and cleanliness maintained to support replenishment and limit stock damage.
Kindly note that initially, the working days would be Monday to Friday, but the successful candidate may be asked to work 5 days over Monday to Saturday in the future.

Working as part of a busy team of both staff and volunteers we are seeking a hard working individual with exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and a positive can do attitude, to help support our operations.
You’ll have some previous experience of working in charity retail and a sound understanding of the importance of Gift Aid for income generation, as well as of current retail brands and trends .
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic about supervising a team of volunteers, excellent with customers and donors and flexible in the work they are asked to undertake. No two days will be the same!
Health and safety is of paramount importance in this role so you will need the ability to follow instructions and be motivated to work on your own initiative.
