Who we are looking for?

Do you thrive on organising events? Our fundraising team needs an enthusiastic and experienced events specialist with a genuine passion for fundraising. As part of a small team, working with our Community Champion you will be key to organising events in the local community. By developing relationships and creating events in the local community you will be helping us to maximise the financial support the Hospice receives.These funds are vital so we can continue to provide compassionate palliative care services within the local community. 

Ideally you will have:

  • A track record in planning events and managing on-day logistics.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with experience of managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively.
  • Experience of managing event budgets, exceeding targets, and strong marketing skills.
  • Experience in achieving fundraising targets, ideally in community fundraising.
  • A good communicator with the ability to build relationships with a variety of people.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, with an ability to work independently and seize opportunities.

Ideally you will enjoy managing a small team too and will be a motivational team leader able to forge good relationships through teamwork and respect.


  • £31,992 starting salary (Band 6 £31,992 – £38,646 pa through performance related progression)
  • Permanent Full Time 
  • 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid working available – working from home and the hospice
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends 
  • Rural Location (North Chailey BN8 4ED) own transport essential, no public transport
  • Enhanced DBS
