What kind of challenge events can I do and how do I sign up?
There are many different types of challenge events you could undertake. Some examples include;
- Running, including marathons
- Cycling
- Walking and trekking
- Skydiving
- Firewalking
- Bungee jumping
To sign up to any of these events and more, check out our events calendar.
How do I ask for donations and sponsorship?
Set up a fundraising page and set a target
Fundraisers often tell us that they find it helpful to set an amount they’d like to raise. Working towards a goal will keep you motivated and may boost the donations you receive. We recommend creating a page on JustGiving and you can find our JustGiving Page here. It is a great way to let people know why you are fundraising for St Peter & St James Hospice and an easy way for you to collect donations.
Support from your employer
Ask your employer to support you either by making a donation, match funding, or sponsoring you.
To find out more about corporate fundraising, please visit our corporate fundraising page.
Promote your event
Let your friends and family know what you are doing and promote your fundraiser on social media. Alternatively, if your workplace has an internal newsletter, ask if you can promote your fundraising, or add a link to your fundraising page into your email signature.
If you’d like to use our logo or some of our hospice photos, or are interested in hospice merchandise, please get in touch and we’ll be more than happy to help.
Get your St Peter & St James Hospice t-shirt!
If you would like to wear a St Peter & St James Hospice branded t-shirt or running vest to do your event in, please let us know and we would be happy to provide one for free. Alternatively, fill out the form below and the fundraising team will contact you.
They can be customised with your name, the name of someone close to you or a message.
Safety
Please note that St Peter & St James Hospice can not be held responsible for any injury associated with participating in events run by other organisations. Please see the event organisers information for other safety advice.
