1 in 4 of St Peter & St James Hospice’s patients are cared for through gifts in Wills
This helps to provide compassionate care to those with life-limiting illnesses and their carers, family and friends across Mid Sussex.
Why should you leave a gift in your Will to St Peter & St James Hospice?
There are lots of reasons why people choose to leave us a gift in their Will. You may have a family member or friend who received care from us or you may simply wish to support your local hospice or your community. However you come to your decision, your kindness and consideration for others is something we cherish, we simply could not continue our vital work without your support.
How can I leave a gift in my Will?
We recommend you seek professional advice when making or amending your Will – a solicitor can help you with this. Your solicitor will make sure your wishes are clear and that the correct wording is used. They can also advise whether your loved ones could benefit from a reduced Inheritance Tax Rate, by leaving a set percentage of your estate to charity.
If you decide to leave us a gift in your Will, you will need to include the following information

Make a Will Month
Each year we work with a number of local solicitors to offer appointments for free to make or amend Wills, in return for a donation to the hospice.
We are very fortunate to have the support of local solicitors for #MakeAWillMonth who have generously agreed to offer a limited number of Will writing appointments free of charge, with a suggested donation to St Peter & St James Hospice.
Contact our participating solicitors to arrange an appointment, quoting ‘St Peter & St James Hospice’:
