Volunteer for us
Whether days or decades, minutes or months, every moment of volunteering matters. To put it simply, we would not be able to provide hospice care without the incredible support of our volunteers. Volunteers are at the heart of St Peter & St James Hospice and we're always looking for more amazing people to join our team.Apply now

Our volunteers love what they do and we’re confident you will too. You’ll meet great people, learn new skills and gain work experience. Best of all, you’ll help provide expert and compassionate hospice care to local families, making life that little bit easier for people at a difficult time.
What volunteering roles are there?
From driving patients to the hospice to sorting shop donations, assisting with admin, gardening or helping our events run smoothly, there really is something for everyone. We’ll talk to you about your interests, skills and the kind of role you’d like to fulfil. Together, we’ll find something with your name on it.
How much time do I need to commit?
We’d love you to be able to commit to a morning or afternoon a week but understand this may not work for everyone. We can be flexible and will find a role that fits with your availability and our current vacancies.
