Take on a Challenge in Aid of Us
Whatever motivates you, why not take on a challenge for us!
We would love you to raise funds for us and our dedicated fundraising team will support you every step of the way. Whether it’s a sky dive, walk, run, trek, head shave, bike ride or ultra triathlon, every milestone you achieve we will be applauding you!
You may have your own ideas, but here are a few that we think look epic! Challenge events are life-changing for the participants, and life-changing for the patients and their loved ones that your fundraising will help support – in our book, that is a win win!
What kind of challenge events can I do and how do I sign up?
There are many different types of challenge events you could undertake. Some examples include;
- Running, including marathons
- Cycling
- Walking and trekking
- Skydiving
- Firewalking
- Bungee jumping
To sign up to any of these events and more, check out our events calendar.
How do I ask for donations and sponsorship?
Fundraising is all about having fun and raising money, but it’s also subject to laws and legislation. Our fundraising team are happy to offer advice where needed and to help sign post you to more information regarding legal matters and health and safety.
Fundraisers often tell us that they find it helpful to set an amount they’d like to raise. Working towards a goal will keep you motivated and may boost the donations you receive. We recommend creating a page on JustGiving and you can find our JustGiving Page here. It is a great way to let people know why you are fundraising for St Peter & St James Hospice and an easy way for you to collect donations.
Ask your employer to support you either by making a donation, match funding, or sponsoring you.
To find out more about corporate fundraising, please visit our corporate fundraising page.
Let your friends and family know what you are doing and promote your fundraiser on social media. Alternatively, if your workplace has an internal newsletter, ask if you can promote your fundraising, or add a link to your fundraising page into your email signature.
If you’d like to use our logo or some of our hospice photos, or are interested in hospice merchandise, please get in touch and we’ll be more than happy to help.
If you would like to wear a St Peter & St James Hospice branded t-shirt or running vest to do your event in, please let us know and we would be happy to provide one for free. Alternatively, fill out the form below and the fundraising team will contact you.
They can be customised with your name, the name of someone close to you or a message.
Whatever your interest, there is an event for you!
From running and skydives, to garden trails and tea parties, our events calendar offers something for everyone.
Places to explore, experiences to enjoy, activities to entertain, all raising vital funds to support those living with life limiting illness.
