Visiting Times

Routine visiting hours are between 11am – 6pm, however you may want to visit at other times so please discuss with the care team or contact us on 01444 471 598.

After 5pm on weekdays or at the weekends, please ring the doorbell and we kindly ask you to bear with us – we will answer the door as quickly as we can, but our nurses may be busy delivering care to patients.

We can help to arrange Teams, Zoom or FaceTime meetings if you are unable to visit in person; please let us know if we can help you with this.

Occasionally we may need to limit visitors due to space in the patient’s room. If the person you are visiting has too many visitors, you may be asked to wait until there is more space available. If the person you are visiting needs care during your visit, you may be asked to wait outside of the room while this happens.

Facilities available

Refreshments

Visitors to the Hospice can order meals from our kitchen menu for lunch and supper. We ask that food is pre-ordered where possible; lunch should be ordered by 11am and supper by 3:30pm. We take payment via cash or card and can accommodate dietary requirements; please ask the catering team and they will be happy to help. Our kitchen also sells a range of homemade cakes and biscuits.

We have a Tuck Shop in reception with a selection of confectionery and soft drinks and free hot drink facilities are available in the Patient and Family Day Lounge.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited within the hospice but a smoking shelter is provided in the car park opposite the main entrance.
