St Peter & St James Hospice provides expert, dignified and compassionate care for adults who are living with a progressive, life-limiting condition, and their families and carers too. We are a specialist palliative care service, providing advice 24/7, and we work closely alongside your GP, hospital team and other NHS services. Our care and support is available completely free of charge, in our catchment area including Lewes, Uckfield, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill as well as up as far as Crawley and Forest Row, thanks to the generosity of our local community who support us.

We have a whole range of staff and volunteers to support you as needed – these may include nurses, therapists, doctors and counsellors. Our hospicecare is delivered at our site in Wivelsfield in either the In-Patient Unit, out-patient appointments or our Living Well Centre as well as in your own home by our Hospice Community Team. All the team at St Peter and St James Hospice offer holistic and individualised care which focuses both on living and dying well and respecting whatever matters to you.
