Intravenous Access, Line Management & IV Medicines Administration

Course introduction

A three-hour workshop for registered nurses who would like to refresh their knowledge of venepuncture, cannulation, IV line management and medicines administration.

What the workshop covers

This half-day workshop covers the theory and practice of venepuncture, cannulation and IV line management with medicines administration. There will be opportunities for demonstrations and hands-on practice.

Teaching is delivered by an experienced registered nurse and Practice Educator. Refreshments and learning resources are included. You will receive a competence framework for future assessment and a certificate recording your attendance.
