Introduction
We are committed to delivering excellent, evidence-based and person-centred care to our patients and their families. Developing our staff and sharing knowledge are important parts of that commitment.
What we offer our staff
Throughout the year, we provide education and training on topics relevant to our staff and the care they deliver. Clinical staff complete mandatory training and have opportunities to update and refresh their clinical skills.
Online learning and training events help staff maintain the knowledge and skills needed to provide safe, effective care. Internal training sessions are recorded and made available on our Learning Hub, so staff can revisit them when needed.
We also encourage staff to attend and contribute to external education events and conferences, sharing their expertise with others working in palliative and end of life care.
Non-clinical mandatory training
Our non-clinical staff complete annual mandatory training in areas such as health and safety and data security, alongside other learning relevant to their roles.
